I have attended the Basic nine-year school with extended learning of foreign languages, Lupacova street, Prague (1976). I got apprenticed at Dopravní podnik and repaired vagons in Prague underground "Metro". I have received "Ing." diploma in radioelectronics - microwaves from Czech Technical University in Prague (1980). After compulsory military service I continued as a postgraduate student in radioelectronics.
Since 1983 I have been working at the Department of Electromagnetic Field . I teach electromagnetics, CAD and microwaves. My field of interest contains Computer Aided Design (CAD) of radiofrequency and microwave circuits, numerical electromagnetics, microwave measurements. I have published about 150 papers . I supervise projects.
I spent some time abroad (stages). I serve to scientific community as a volunteer in several organisations . I took part in establishing national branches of international organizations such as - Czechoslovakia SectionIEEE , Czech Centre IEE and Czech Branch of International Travelling Summer School on Microwaves and Lightwaves.
I can speak English, Russian, a bit Italian. Other languages: HTML,
PHP, Pascal, Fortran, Basic.
Married with Jana Musilkova, who is a biochemist. She is withInstitute of Physiology, Academy of Sciences. Son Tomas, daughters Klara, Marie, Katerina, Erika, Veronika.
